ANOTHER propaganda piece telling you why they government shouldn't waste money on you. The WaPost found a Nurse Practitioner who says mammograms are not needed...guess they couldn't find an MD low enough to write such nonsense.
She is wrong, however: True, in young pre menopausal women, the cancer grows fast and metastasizes early, so Mammograms might not lower the cancer cure rate that much (the cancer would be too small for the mammogram to pick up, but then grow large enough to feel a couple months later).
But for older post menopausal women, the cancer grows slower, so this is not true.
