and the LATimes has more on "sectarian violence"...some of it by Saddam's minions, but much of it by Iranian backed Shiite hit squads.
The Lancet study, which I suspect was run by and based on Sunni data, reflected the ethnic tensions.
The US is trying to keep Sunnis as part of Iraq, but many Shiites remember the atrocities and want payback...and remember, Iran lost a million in Saddam's war, and also wants payback.
to put it into context: not only did many "collaberators" die after WWII, but 14 million ethnic Germans were victims of "ethnic cleansing".
