Arabic is a family of language not a single one, so a Moroccan might not understand a Palestinian although both speak Arabic.
I bring this up because often we see "polls" where English is the most spoken, but compared to Chinese (with it's many dialects) or Arabic...as if we included Dutch and German and Swedish into the catagory "English" it might change the statistics.
