Joy is getting ready for her family's big party this weekend...her parents wedding anniversary.
The farmers are busy planting, and at the farm they are finishing the building renovations so they can fit the rice drier there...we also plan to make a flat concrete area to dry rice if it's not raining, to save on electricity.
also we are contracting to dig a larger "fish pond" on the higher field, that can be used to store water to cut the pump irrigation bills for the dry season (despite thunderstorms causing landslides up north, we've had no rain for several weeks, so that means pumping water for our high field vegetable garden and paying irrigation fees for the lower fields).
Lolo is better, over his chest cold and no longer wheezing. I won't let him go to Joy's parents party, too far to travel, even if he stays in a hotel room.
Chano is out of bed, but still his back hurts. He is busy designing etc. but not up to the long trip to Manila for the weekend party.
Me? I'm a lady of leisure...
