Everyday heroes

I have noted before that thousands of foreign workers were fleeing or stranded in Libya. Also many locals are now fleeing the violence.

But Fides tells a story of how Catholic sisters, with the help of Protestant churches and with the help of locals who donated food, are cooking ten thousand meals a day for ten thousand plus refugees, mostly from the Philippines or Bangladesh.

I'm sure there are many similar stories out there not getting much publicity....
