Joy's Business class is graduating today from her business course, so they will leave later for Manila.
Lolo's birthday is tomorrow, so they will pick up crab and seafood there (we live inland, so buying it from Manila or Bulacan means it's probably fresher).
This morning, I heard a pig snorting. This is not unusual, since the guy across the street is a butcher and we frequently hear pigs awaiting their final journey over there, but it seemed louder than usual.
sure enough, we now have a young pig in our side garden, awaiting his fate. They brought it up from Bulacan last night. (Joy's parents have a farm there, and the roads to Manila goes through Bulacan).
Alas, tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. Here, people don't take the laws on fasting and abstinence seriously, but if I want to be strict and not eat meat, I guess I'll be stuck eating only seafood at the party: fish, and the Crab, and the shrimp instead...oh the sacrifices you have to make for being Catholic...
