Factoid of the day

No, Scottish bagpipes weren't invented in Scotland, but probably in the Middle East. One of my Roman history lectures said they were brought to the UK with the Romans and the locals were impressed and decided to copy their use.

BillMillin, who played the pipes at Normandy, recently died.
