Some folks do care

There has been a dearth of help for those in the Midwest who lost homes from the floods, wildfires, or tornadoes.

So I am happy to hear the Jolie Pitt foundation has given money to Joplin.


If you want to help, check if your church is there helping with funds or accepting volunteers in the cleanup.

and here is a story by some is a typical group, with volunteers from Oklahoma and other nearby states.
Ditto for Samaritan's purse, who is so hated by the DU...
most of the groups are small groups from various Baptist (link2) or Evangelical churches,
And the Catholics, Mormons are there too...
and the volunteers included Hispanics and (military) volunteers who went to help.

and FEMA is there, hiring local contractors to haul away the debris.
