HIV pills help prevent folks from catching HIV.
Good news: will protect women, especially in Africa, whose HIV positive husbands won't use condoms and studies show condoms are not vry good in stopping the spread of HIV (perhaps a quality problem, or because of the heat deteriorates latx) as much as in the US.

Open coalmining causes birth defects. Yeah, that, and the destruction of the habitat (which is a lot worse than regular mining's slag heap pollution) is why we opposed it in our area of Pennsylvania.
Ah, but big coal has another reason: The hillbillies interbreed too much. Except in most of these areas, a lot of coalminers are third generation Italian or Eastern European immigrants.
