at 3 am I woke up to a strange noise coming from the bathroom...the cat had brought us a "present": a live bat.

I scooped it up without touching it and threw it outside...I never heard of a cat catching a bat, so I hope it wasn't a sick bat (with rabies etc). I had rabies shots after a dog bite, but the cats here haven't had any rabies shots.

Since I was awake, I went on line, and the headlines are the same: Bad news.

oh well.
