Factoid of the day

a recent news report said that the sea will rise no matter what humanity does. on the other hand, for humanity: been there, done that.

The UK Mail has some great photos and maps of how climate change resulted in flooding of the British/Danish plains 8500 years ago.
the area was called Doggerland. named after the Dogger (sand)bank.
The name comes from dogger, an old Dutch word for fishing boat, especially for catching cod.
