Stategypage also has a long article on China's sea grab against the Philippines and VietNam in the west Philippine sea.
China is not only slowly moving in, they are ignoring the Law of the Sea to do so.

President Obama is ignoring the Chinese land/sea grab, but it's not just about territory, it's about the huge oil/gas in the region, but it is also about the ability to control the shipping lanes....

There is a lot of nonsense about the US election in the news, but this old (2006) CSpan interview by Brian Lamb of Mitt Romney is eye opening: lots of stuff I didn't know. Did he really balance Massachusett's budget? (well, sort of)
