the videos on the PJMedia Tattler site suggest that it is worse: I posted one of them...Like Spock, he doen't just call it illogical, but he then goes on in details exactly why it is illogical:
and the argument that it will throw grandmom under the bus won't fly if Grandmom reads Drudge, who posts:
Obama Campaign Defends President's $700 Billion Cuts to Medicare...
Yeah, I know about it from my AMA and AAFP newsletters, but I don' t know if it has been discussed in the US press.

Related item: The most stupid editorial of the weekend is found at the LATimes.
Many "ain't it awful" assumptions (the Atomic bomb killed folks unnecessarily: my cousin Tom would disagree, but never mind), fake facts (the author doesn't seem to know about the START treaty), false generalizations ("you flirts with a lug"...assumes everyone is on the make, which is not true, and of course it also ignores the heterosexual males who read the LATimes who prefer to flirt with bimbos)...
but the worst part of the article is the assumption that the "reptilian brain" theory is true. It's not...it is just one more fake psychological fad that has no basis in reality, as this NIH article discusses:
Other discredited doctrines have also muddied the waters considerably. Some, such as MacLean’s triune brain theory, have spawned nonsense such as “reptilian brains” inside human heads (MacLean 1985). In this chapter, we assume that structures such as the basal ganglia perform some conserved function, not that humans or other mammals have the same basal ganglia that some ancestral species or group had. (Also, technically, we did not evolve from “reptiles” but instead descended from ancestral amniotes.)yeah: it's an ancestral amniote brain, not a reptilian one....
