Thanks to the Philippines policy of "Green" energy, we have rolling brownouts...

We get our electricity from hydro electric dams, and this happens every year at the end of "taginit" (hot season) before the Monsoon hit. Since this year we are supposed to have an "el nino", presumably these brownouts will continue.

So that means everyone who can afford it will turn on their gasoline/diesel generators (and those who can't afford them will be at the mall or outside under a tree).

We stay inside: it's also pollen season and both Lolo and I are wheezing if we stay out too long: I use the Aircon as a dehumidifier/air cleaner, even when it's not that hot.
