We've had rain on and off, and yesterday it was quite heavy. Last ight the people living near the river had to evacuate due to flooding, says our cook, whose family lives near the river. Our family home and much of our family still live in that area... we'll have to check if they are okay.
not a typhoon, merely a "cyclone" or tropical depression... meaning not a lot of wind, merely rain.
And we are downstream from the mountains...
