This is how you get conspiracy theories

Local LasVegas paper has an article praising first responders who helped save the wounded.

Yes: Often the first responders are taken for granted, and not thanked, so I am happy they are doing so.

But deep in the story we read: Even as the praise flowed Wednesday, questions about the shooting remain, including when Mandalay Bay security officer Jesus Campos was shot in the leg outside Paddock’s hotel room.
Las Vegas police initially reported that Campos came under fire from Paddock sometime after the shooting, which began at 10:05 p.m. on Oct. 1. But they changed that narrative after MGM Resorts International, which owns the Mandalay Bay, disputed it.
Police then said Campos was struck sometime within 40 seconds of the shooting. Authorities have yet to clarify when exactly Campos reported the shooting to hotel staff, when exactly Campos reported that he had been shot and when exactly hotel staff reported the shooting to police.
follow the money:
The time line has become critical in the growing litigation over whether MGM Resorts, one of the state’s most politically powerful companies, was negligent in the shooting.
and then you have this:
Questions remain about whether Mandalay Bay should have done more to track the movements of Paddock, a high-rolling slot machine player who was able to sneak a cache of high-powered weapons into his room.
bad security.

Yeah we had a casino shooting here that caused a fire that killed a lot of people, due to poor security and lack of exits. That guy got in with a gun and gasoline with no problem.

Yet they didn't notice an old guy smuggling in a lot of rifles?
where are the autopsy/toxicology reports?

It sounds like a case of paranoid psychosis brought on by depression, but without questioning those around him including his girlfriend and the prostitute who visited him at the end, we'll never know. I wonder how many of the Hotel staff could give information but are being kept quiet out of fear of litigation.

myself, I wonder where his Pinay girlfriend was visiting when this happened. He wired her 100 thousand dollars, but to what bank in what region?
