Most of the conspiracy stuff is unreported items that are blown up out of proportion, so they do contain some truth.
And people believe it because the MSM tends to ignore the facts or writes biased stories... And a lot of the covered up stuff is stuff that is actually reported, but can only be found deep inside the pages of the MSM newspapers, or with a thorough Google search.
So John Bachelor has this podcast on Jerome Corsi, a crazy conspiracy theorist who is well known for digging up dirt (some of which is actually true) and who is well known for those of us who listen to Coast to Coast am and other late night radio programs.
well, Muller decided to interrogate him to find dirt on Trumpie boy, and pulled a long investigation on Corsi. As if Corsi would actually be trusted by Trumpie boy, or that his testimony would stand up in court to impeach Trump.
So who will win?
hint: Never bet against crazy.
Because Corsi is writing a book and plans to spill the beans on his inquisition. And unlike the MSM, a lot of folks know who he is might believe him over the NYTimes version.
What is disturbing about this is if you spend weeks interrogating someone about lots of trivia, they will mess up and voila, instant "prejury".
it can also induce "false memories", by the way, but that's another story for another time.

Sort of related item: Kathleen Kane, the state DA who was behind the grandjury that started the Pennsylvania "priest pedophilia" scandal by investigating the shennanigans in the Altoona diocese has gone to jail for perjury in another case
Steele said Kane, a former Lackawanna County prosecutor who was elected attorney general in 2012, not only abused her power to serve a personal vendetta, she committed criminal acts by disclosing secret grand jury and investigative information and then gave false testimony under oath to try and cover up what she had done.
She leaked a grand jury information about another
some of it appears to be inspired by a personal feud, but I don't know enough details to know if she was hyper sensitive due to menopause, or if the guys she was feuding with were slimebuckets who hated women, and who were busy sending pornographic emails, and she was trying to get back a them, so she was targeted.
as one local reporter noted:
That’s worth repeating: The veteran investigators, in the middle of building the case for half a hundred criminal sex charges against a former assistant football coach at Pennsylvania’s largest university, decided to email dirty jokes and porny pics around using their taxpayer-funded inter-office email system.
Without these, the Kane might have kept quiet and not tried to get back at them.
how dare she leak details of an investigation that is supposed to be secret?
Hmm...Sounds like what a lot of folks in Congress and the Muller team are doing...
I don't know the details, but the Catholic League is chortling about it, as if it is divine retribution on this DA. Mr Bill needs to get real here: Yes, the pederasty and pedophilia in Catholic priests probably is small next to other institutions, e.g. public schools (or even Congressmen).
And a lot of the wrath is fueled by latent anti Catholicism, not to mention the Trad Catholics who are upset at "Bergolio" pushing gay friendly bishops instead of trying to clean up the place.
all of this is ignoring that there was and probably still is a problem, and not just in the USA. (we are waiting for that shoe to drop here in the Philippines: Duterte was abused as a boy and the bishops hate him, so it's just a matter of time).
As I have written in previous posts those of us who lived in the Altoona diocese knew a lot of cases that were not being reported, other cases that never resulted in prosecution, and even when cases reported in the local papers they tended to be ignored because of the corrupt judicial establishment there. (see background here about corruption, leading to the O'Kicki case and the outcry over his "escape" that led to some reforms).
one wonders why the "catholic league" thinks the whole case was based on lies: see HERE for an article in the local Johnstown paper about the Luddy case in 2002, and includes information of more stuff going on that was being ignored.
here is a local report on the case that started it all: it was referred to Kane, who was the state DA, by the local DA, who was also a woman.
and these pushy broads actually took it seriously and went on with it. (and the related Sandusky case also was prosecuted by a lady DA Linda Kelly. Those pushy broads!)
so the CL's chortling missed the point: it was a real case, and it was time to finally get the victims justice.
So personally I don't care if it was a DA looking for headlines: it worked. And now maybe the church will be purged of sin (but not if the Pope can stop it, but that's another problem).
as for Kane: Maybe it's God's mercy that she is punished for something minor when the slimebuckets get away with a lot worse crimes. You see, they will face the final judgement in the next world, and that might be a lot more unpleasant than a few years in a low security prison.
and hey, at least she hasn't "disappeared".
And maybe she could write a book about the cases and the corruption not only in the Altoona diocese but about corruption by politically connected politicians in the Philadelphia and the corruption in the Pennsylvania court system.
and you thought corruption only happened in places like the Philippines?
