Kuya is cleaning up the garden (the trellis fell down from one severe thunderstorm/wind) and trimming back the palm trees and the bougainvillia.
he has the teenagers from the farmers here to help: It's unskilled help and they can earn some money for the fiesta.
I went for pizza yesterday afternoon: the mall was very crowded. School starts again next week.

Robin and Madeline are visiting Uganda to teach home craft skills and soap making to village women there.
(Robin is a textile artist and teaches classes in quilting and hand dying fabric, and she also makes organic soaps to sell in craft fares and etsy). Me, I think it's silly, on the other hand, it means making handcrafts to sell for money in nearby cities, and is similar to the government sponsored projects the family here used to supervise (and deliver supplies etc.) here: It lets women who stay at home make money without leaving the kids and chores.
