Ruby should be coming home from her school in Canada this week.
She goes back in August to a college in Minnesota, on full scholarship.
The monsoon rains have come, so they are busy preparing the rice fields for planting, meaning Kuya spends a lot of time in the farm (the equipment is ours, and we supply organic ferilizer to be used by our tenant farmers and also the farmers under contract who grow our organic rice).
The church that meets in our meeting room is crowded today: School starts next week, so they are inviting all the local kids to sing hymns and then be given school supplies.
(we live in the center of town, not a gated community, so the poorer neighborhoods are nearby. We do have some "street kids" but most of them actually do have families, but often the home situation is terrible so they prefer the street).
