did I hear a Who?

well, the Twittersphere Red Guard has canceled another author and all of his books.

Yup,

Dr. Seuss is now verbotten, because of his non PC cartoons.

no, not this one that used images of guns and soldiers to push using insecticide use as something good in the days before they were canceled by the "greens" to save the birds, never mind all those kids dying of malaria, Dengue, and other nasty diseases after this cheap and safe insecticide DDT was banned to save the birds.

But his other books.

I hear that not only is President Biden discouraging children from reading them, but some private booksellers are banning their sale.

So far, however, internet archive still has some of his books and the cartoons based on them available to borrow.

not only are some of the cartoons considered racist or non pc, but their messages are downright subversive.

Take this innocent looking elephant.

and check it out on internet archive:

Or borrow a copy of the book.

why is it subversive?

Quick...is it about noticing the invisible people in your midst trying to protect their families? (blue collar workers, AKA hard working despicables whose jobs are being canceled, never mind many are often minorities or undocumented folks)

Or is it about protecting the environment? That could be considered PC.

ah, but what's that part about "a person is a person no matter how small"?

Is that about (horrors how non pc) reminding people that abortion is about a person, not about a choice that changes the world by denying children the right to live and objecting to modern propaganda that portrays the baby as the enemy of his parents?

And what about

Green eggs and ham?

At a time when the rich PC types are pushing veggie burgers and insisting that bugs are good for you as a meat substitute, one wonders why a book about eating something that looks disgusting (but tastes good) is considered bad.

Ah but you don't see it could be an allegory, or criticizing those who refuse to read opinions that oppose the meme of the MSM, while censor books that often they have refused to read because they prejudge things on superficial appearances?

I am old enough to remember when it was "in" to rebel against rules one considered stupid.

So should we object to the Cat in the hat?

This one teaches rebellion to kids..,
imagine they were encouraged to mess their mom's perfect house by playing, and even invited the non PC Thing one and Thing two to play with. This reminds me of how all the scruffy neighborhood boys would play in my house because I didn't care if my house was messy, and maybe because my sons were not "white" and not welcome in their houses.

Cat in the hat at internet archive.

then there is the Grinch.

Imagine: Putting the taboo word "Christmas" in the title. I am triggered: It should read "The protester who canceled winter festival for being too white".

And the original grinch, of course, hated families who loved each other so is the inspiration of those who want to ban Christmas, which is of course a holiday celebrating a child's birth.

But in today's world, it goes furthur:

how dare you gather together as a family in the time of a covid epidemic?
Human kindness is verboten. No visiting grand mom for you.

So altogether now: Let's Sing the song of the Twittersphere bullies:

Be subversive and read a banned book today
