peace deal hated by twittersphere

Elon Musk is not only making the ten percent of people who have nothing better to do than tweet (and the 30 percent of bots there) hyperventillate because he now says he will take it over.

But on top of this he has a peace plan for the Ukraine that makes sense.

LINK2

Ukraine-Russia Peace: - Redo elections of annexed regions under UN supervision. Russia leaves if that is will of the people. - Crimea formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev’s mistake). - Water supply to Crimea assured. - Ukraine remains neutral.

of course, the Ukraine doesn't like it, but it makes sense. And the Ukraine should remember that the west hesitated in sending them weapons in the very early days of the war, partly from fear of Russia but mainly because the experts figured that the Ukraine would fall to the experienced Russian army withing a week.

But the Ukrainian response stopped the Russians to every expert's astonisment, so the west (or part of the west ) decided maybe they should help.

However, in the earliest days of the war, the Ukrainians got help from one ally that let them reestablish much needed communications: Elon Musk repositioned his Starlink satellites and sent in receivers.

So maybe it's time to pay attention to the nerdy guy who helped you.

Besides, if you settle quickly maybe they will be able to send grain to feed the Middle East (which might stop more unrest there), allow the Germans to stay warm this winter, and get us cheap fertilizer.
