Zimbabwe Tourism is open to the world

Tourism in Africa is about lions and wildlife, right?

Wrong. And Zimbawe is opening to tourist now that covid epidemic has weakened and travel is allowed.

I wrote a long over- wordy post on my African blog about the archeology on the stone structures and terraces in Zimbabwe. Not just the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, but other evidence of a sophisticated civilization, including the people who built extensive terraces in the eastern part of that country. Zimbawe had a sophisticated empire in the middle ages, but it later declined due to climate change, famine, disease, and the fact that locals rebelled againt the tyrants., leaving it empty for the racist Cecil Rhodes    to send settlers there and claim the area for Great Britain.

and again, Rhodes empire decline because people rebelled against the tyranny of the white minority running the place.

A reminder to China, who is now taking over a lot of their resources: don't overdo your takeover. Remember the Shona Proverb: Even a small snake has a tooth.
