Philippine news: The Sugar Mommy
Guess who just admitted her affair with her driver was true, but it was okay: Her marriage was annulled and he was separated from his wife.
The comments about this being adultery and hence illegal are hilarious, since if you jailed every politician/businessman here who had a "second wife", we wouldn't be able to run the place.
and the consensus is that the X rated video is a fake, or as Dan Rather would put it "Fake but true"...
But what is not being discussed: This is sexual harassment, since the driver was under duress to say yes or lose his job.
And of course, the problem that he might have been her bagman, and collected money from those in prison, and was involved with the drug trade: Well, she wouldn't know anything about that...
and this Oct12 news article claims he has disappeared, and taken his 12 fighting cocks with him.

I'm just going through the science headlines on PhysOrg and some of them seem to reach the PC conclusions if they are investigations on sociology or climate change.
Query: Which came first the chicken or the egg? They decided to study something that they already knew what they wanted to find, and voila they found it?

this is not science, which takes an idea and then experiments to find if it is true. It is manipulating data that might or might not be correct to find a conclusion that is pleasing to the present day meme.
If this is true, ice core sample, tree rings etc. from the past when the earth was warmer, might support this conclusion, but this paper does not.

One: the constitution doesn't allow a dictatorship by the president's pen. It requires the consent of Congress. The US Senate (and it's isolationist people) tend to turn down these things: League of Nations anyone?
Two: If you think China will keep it's promises on global warming, you are a fool. They traditionally lie about such things, and have their usual idiots proclaiming how wonderful they are. I remember when a NYT editorial praised China for being green, at a time when the pollution in their cities was horrible and there were major health crises from smog, dumping chemicals into the environment, and substituting cheap toxic chemicals in everything from dog food to heparin to baby milk.

yup. Ordinary Europeans consider themselves "American" or "hyphenated American" if they are ethnics. Does this prove the men are racist, or are you racist for assuming they don't notice these things (i.e. that they are racist because they don't notice race)?
or maybe it proves that your subject matter don't fit neatly into your preconceived idea, i.e. that white men consider themselves white men. That would negate any observation in science, but then, a lot of sociology is not science but propaganda disguised as science.

The Biggest issue of the day isn't Trump
It is the Pope who is busy sowing confusion in the name of "mercy"?
The German bishops are saying: Change things while he is pope. The "reform" catholics in the states say yippee.
The new bishops being appointed are on the "reform" side.
But there is now an open revolt against the "reform" that essentially wants to make the church into a "SJW" NGO instead of a place of grace where you worship the Lord and learn how to follow him.

First, a point of clarification. The issue is not about divorced and remarried couples receiving Holy Communion. It is about sexually active but not validly married couples receiving Holy Communion. When a couple obtains a civil divorce and a canonical declaration that they were never validly married, then they are free to marry in the Church and receive Holy Communion, when they are properly disposed to receive. The Kasper proposal is to allow a person to receive Holy Communion when he or she has validly pronounced marriage vows but is no longer living with his or her spouse and now lives with another person with whom he or she is sexually active. In reality, this proposal opens the door for anyone committing any sin to receive Holy Communion without repenting of the sin.
The first part, about faithfulness in marriage, was proclaimed by Jesus, and that last part about the holiness of the sacrament was warned against by the apostle Paul.
The bishop continues:
Questions two, three, and four are about fundamental issues regarding the moral life: whether intrinsically evil acts exist, whether a person who habitually commits grave evil is in a state of “grave sin”, and whether a grave sin can ever become a good choice because of circumstances or intentions.
So every time you read the Pope saying don't hurt their feelings, you wonder if he is saying that to be merciful, or if he is a coenabler?
For 2000 years, Catholics who had these problems repented and went to confession and tried to live a good life. If marriages were irregular, they were encouraged to humbly go to church anyway but not receive the sacrament and figure God's mercy would save them.
In contrast, the modern world of "I'm okay your're okay" teachers: I'm a good person, but I do something evil. Does that make me evil? No, I'm not evil, so therefore the Ten Commandments must be wrong.

Deprogramming child soldiers
My friend in Zimbabwe worked with the gov't there with the insurgents when that war was done, helping them complete their education and get reintegrated into society.
Many of the simple things we took for granted had been forgotten (or never learned) because they lost that part of their life. And part of the integration was to learn social roles: Not acting out violently, being polite, how to act with others.
Let's face it: It's fun for a teenager to join an insurgency, get a gun, and use the gun to get things you want: Booze, drugs, women/sex and the power to push around weaker people. That is why so many lands have a criminal subset that recruits the very young, but it is also why if these gangs live long enough they outgrow these things and want to come home again.
This is true for FARC, or ISIS, or the "Mukomana" of Zimbabwe, or our NPA,-- or of the Crips and Bloods and street gangs of the US inner city.
One of my relatives was involved in reintegrating Saddam Hussein's men into Iraqi society by deprogramming their cult like ideas, and then slowly adding positive ideas to replace the programming.
I even read years ago that Syria had a similar program that did this to detoxify their returning terrorists, partly by arranging their terrorists to get married to a good girl... hmm... Beauty and the Beast?
But what about women? That is even more complicated.
So I found this post about the halfway house helping a FARC female insurgent to return to normal society.
Don't know who "FARC" is?
many joined the group to fight for peasants rights, but like other Marxists, they became enmeshed in the communist ideas that made everyone else a target for violence, including innocent civilians. ...
there were several amnesties and alas government hit squads against those who tried to clean up their act (and I suspect, like here, some of those who retired were offed by their former comrads but the murder blamed on government hit squads). A relative in Colombia lost her common law husband this way after he quit, killed by people unknown.
the woman in the story joined for adventure and equality, but found she had to sleep with those who she didn't want to, abort her children and take contraception that made her sick.
after returning home after being sick, the government picked her up and enrolled her in a halfway house to retrain her how to live in society... and trying to reintegrate into the female role in a very traditional society.
But now she is infertile and can never be a full mother....
a sad story on many levels.

Are the protests against Trump astroturfed? It would help if the MSM would bother to google some names and find they are professional activists whose connections were "outed" by Wikileaks.
Here in the Philippines, one gets the idea that these demonstrations are massive, because hey, you can get on TV by burning and breaking windows/vandalizing shops (often owned by Asian American immigrants but never mind)..this make it look like a big splash on TV and CNN...but the few articles I have seen note the numbers are in the low thousands, if not less... and most of the demonstrators look like white Yutes... except in NYC where the more peaceful demonstrations are by feminists and aging hippies.
Compare and contrast to Korea. where the lowest estimate is a quarter million protesting.

Drudge also reports an earthquake in northwestern Argentina and links to a report that the "ring of fire" is awakening. That is nothing new: it's just that you rarely read headlines when one hits Indonesia or New Guinea or Tonga.

Here, I only "felt" a rumble that lasted too long to be a nearby truck (we are on the street where some trucks detour; the main road turns one way a block up, and it's easier for huge trucks to make a right turn at our corner because there is a vacant lot, not our relative's house, if you turn too broadly).
Our area had a major earthquake in 1990 (not to mention Mt Pinatubo, typhoons, floods, landslides and dengue fever). I was going to add "at least we don't have tornadoes like in Oklahoma", but actually once in awhile we have a small one of those too.
They hold earthquake drills once in awhile in Manila, and I know here all the concrete block buildings have to be reinforced with steel bars. But if a big one hits Manila, we would be in trouble.

4000 dead in the drug wars here in the Philippines, so the UN plans to investigate.
Just ignore the much larger death toll in Mexico: 15000 dead in the first 6 months so far this year......it is so bad that armed vigilantes have started fighting back.
presumably the lovely lady who has big ties with drug money, funneling it through her driver/lover, will feed a lot of information to the UN.
in my previous post I mentioned a guy killed while in prison by the cops when they got a search warrant to search his cell and resisted. This article explains the back story.

So we are either richer, or the money is going into infrastructure improvement instead of the politician's pockets.

We haven’t always had any notice for approaching asteroids. Look at the Chelyabinsk meteor from 2013. It was a 10,000 ton meteor that exploded over the Chelyabinsk Oblast, injuring 1500 people and damaging an estimated 3,000 building in 6 cities. If it had been a little bigger, and reached the surface of the Earth, the damage would have been widespread. 5 days notice would likely have saved a lot of lives.

Thank you Lolo
Yesterday (Nov 11th) was Veteran's day.
My husband was in the unorganized militias that sprang up at the end of WWII in answer to McArthur's call for the Filipinos to rise up and throw out their oppressors. His brother however was in that war longer, as was his cousin, who was captured and killed by the Japanese.
My son in law and his son are US Navy.
and then there are my uncles, cousins, and various friends. My cousin's ship was hit by a kamikazi; another cousin was killed in a similar attack, but they never found his body.
Aan uncle was in the Engineers building bridges in Italy.
. A lot of my classmates and several cousins served in VietNam, One of my classmates got a Medal of Honor when he was killed trying to rescue a wounded soldier under fire by the VietCong. They knew the fight there was for a corrupt government, but they also saw the many more atrocities committed by the enemy there, including the mass graves of Hue that never got into the US News.
And no one dared back then in college to say to the anti war activists: Well, wait a second that is not true. Because they were the good guys fighting for peace (A peace that resulted in 10 million refugees, racial cleansing of their Chinese ethnics, a war against China, and a Cambodian holocaust... and maybe, if they hadn't become tired of war, a communist Philippines where my Filipino family would have been shot as "rich landlords".)
The returning soldiers were scorned when they returned by a left that believed the lies and exaggerated the problems, and pretended that smoking pot at an anti war festival made them heroic. That is why I can't take the professional rioters in the streets seriously. Follow the money.
The soldiers identified with the original Rambo, who was dissed by those not fit to clean his shoes. If they had followed his example, there would have been a civil war in the 1970's. But like most of the Trumpettes, they came home, went to work, married, and had children. The "Myth" of the crazy Vietnam Vet is an exaggeration, you know.
The revolt of the Trumpettes is not new. It started the day when self righteous affluent yuppies spit in the faces of a returning VietNam Vet.

China is having a mixed reaction to Trump's election, and there are reports that they are keeping the news quiet. I suspect the backstory of Trump, being against the powers that run the US, is not a story they want to catch on at a time when their new president is trying to consolidate power, get rid of corruption to calm down the many local spontaneous riots against corruption in that country.

I lived through the 1960's so am ignoring the "riots" in the USA. In the 1960's a lot of these were inspired by red diaper babies, a culture where it was "hip" to destroy all the rules of the old fuddy duddies, (read "free sex! Get high! Hate the cops) and attended by students who were against the draft. Besides, taking off from school to demonstrate is fun.
So the riots are huge headlines here, but the local news (ABSCBN) reporter on TV said most of those in LA he talked to were not Hillary supporters, but people who hated Trump.
The usual idiots. Guess they prefer to obey the "man behind the mirror", and not join with Wikileaks who points out that Trump is not on their side, but hey, at least he isn't their puppet.
This too will pass, since one doubts there will be a grass roots groundswell to support them, even if Hillary won "the popular vote", i.e. a vote that includes stuffed ballot boxes, irregularities in mail in votes and machines, and dead voters. Yes, I'm cynical, but then I remember when 40 thousand dead voters in Chicago resulted in Kennedy being president instead of Nixon..
so expect the NWO types to push for "popular vote" so their city machines can arrange votes to elect the president, and ignore all those despicables in flyover country.

The ABS CBN report on how Hillary can "win" the popular vote yet lost the election don't understand the electoral college is to let the people outside the populous cities have a large say in who gets elected, in a similar way that the Senate is two votes per state so Rhode Island is just as powerful as Texas.
Here, they are still talking about a ConCon to Cha cha (constitutional convention to charter change) so we would be a parliamentary system like the UK instead of having a president elected by highest vote (and with a half dozen parties, the winner only getting one third of the vote).
America is a republic, with split powers, based on the ideas of the ancient Roman republic, not a democracy, which is unstable and leads to demagogues manipulating the crowds to wield power.
The founding fathers knew this, but hey, just like taking "religion" out of schools so kids don't know their moral heritage, they also ignore the Greco Roman basis of civilization.

The ABS CBN report on how Hillary can "win" the popular vote yet lost the election don't understand the electoral college is to let the people outside the populous cities have a large say in who gets elected, in a similar way that the Senate is two votes per state so Rhode Island is just as powerful as Texas.
Here, they are still talking about a ConCon to Cha cha (constitutional convention to charter change) so we would be a parliamentary system like the UK instead of having a president elected by highest vote (and with a half dozen parties, the winner only getting one third of the vote).
America is a republic, with split powers, based on the ideas of the ancient Roman republic, not a democracy, which is unstable and leads to demagogues manipulating the crowds to wield power.
The founding fathers knew this, but hey, just like taking "religion" out of schools so kids don't know their moral heritage, they also ignore the Greco Roman basis of civilization.
