Commies behind Manila embassy bomb scare?

Secretary Eduardo Ermita Wednesday tagged the New People's Army (NPA) as behind the series of bomb threats made against embassies of foreign countries in Manila and Makati recently.
Ermita said the NPA might have given the order to sow terror and topple the government after safe conduct passes of ranking rebel leaders were revoked by the Arroyo administration. ...

Well, they are active, but low grade...

And three small bombs did go off in Manila yesterday...LINK

but back to the first threat...(Sect.) Garcia said a caller who identified himself as "Abdullah" warned that car bombs will explode at the embassies.
Abdullah claimed that their original target was the Southeast Asian Games but because of strict police security in the events, they are now diverting their attention to the embassies, Garcia added.

Hmmm...not a common name in central Luzon...but of course, Philippine government officials never lie..

And the really big story everyone is talking about is the return of Garci, the election official whose conversation with Gloria about stealing the election is still to be investigated...

Garci, call your office, your CD royalty check just arrived...
