Blogosphere two, MSM one

Instapundit has the above cartoon...and comments:
"The 'who do you work for' defense isn't going to work anymore, but my guess is that politicians will be using it more often as bloggers start doing original reporting and covering live events. Why? Because bloggers often come from the ranks of working professionals — in this case, a lawyer — and will be drawn to covering areas where they can legitimately claim some expertise. Professional journalists are asked to jump from issue to issue, often with little time to study in between. ...

Another "independent" journalis, i.e. Drudge, is reporting that the far left has taken over and politicized Mrs. King's funeral: LINK

Excuse me, but it was hijinks like this at Senator Wellstone's funeral that made a lot of DFL (Democrats) in Minnesota vote in a Republican...

One thing that the anti Muslim cartoons, the jihadi types rioting, and Jimmy Carter have in common is a lack of Reverence...

"(Reverence is ) "the well-developed capacity to have the feelings of awe, respect, and shame when these are the right feelings to have." ....Yet contemporary society seems to have lost this capacity for reverence, a loss that is reflected in disdain for the government, destruction of the environment and disrespect for rules and rituals. How can we recover reverence and act more reverently? .....we become reverent by doing reverent things."
