Dr Sanity asks a similar question, and points out polls do not support them.

and a lot of the political discourse in the Democratic party is merely parroting warmed over marxism...and if I support the war, it's because I reject their naive view on the possibility of evil in an ideology that combines 8th century morality with 20th century terror Maoist terror tactics...

But what is ignored is globalization, for better or for worse: both sides need to readThomas Friedman's books not Norm Chomsky.
