Family News

Lots of workers here doing crafts to present to the trade fair next week. Mostly Chano's new designs, which we are hoping to get someone to buy and/or subcontract so our workers will have work again...and if it is our design, we may actually make a profit (The livelihood is a program for people to do crafts in the villages, to make extra income...usually we sponsor the program and supervise and deliver raw materials and then deliver the objects, but rarely make a profit...it is part of our charity outreach, so we figure if we break even it is fine).

Last year, Christmas balls and wicker furniture. This year, christmas balls and better designed wicker furniture, and maybe Capiz shell decor...all of which is upscale so should get a better price for all involved.

Typhoon hit yesterday, but we are inland enough that all we got was rain. Luckily, the land here is flat, but our house is high and has good drainage...and what is even better is that the gutters worked, so we only flooded a little in the living room and one of the guest bedrooms.

Lolo is fine. Ruby is doing well in school...Chano and Joy are so busy we rarely see them.
