In many parts of the world, they bless the pets on St. Francis' Day....Since St.Francis' day is today, a workday, the blessing was held Sunday.
The good news is that Samantha didn't eat any dogs or cats during the service.
As far as I know, we didn't bless pets here in Gapan...
Usually dogs and cats are seen as utilitarian (watchdogs, catching rats) rather than pets.
