NYTimes doesn't seem to be aware the novices are "in training" and like pilots can be dropped during training if they don't meet standards. They also seem unaware that novices have "dowrys" to keep them afloat financially when they leave, or that your health insurance company has to offer you the option to continue paying premiums on your own.
But if you scroll down to the end of this editorial in the guise of a story, you'll find the real reason for the story: That when Catholic hospitals merge they can dictate morality to the joint hospital.
As usual, it's about abortion.
