The Smaug index of corruption.

Mubarak,($660 billion) vs Smaug ($8.6 billion).

From Finestkind Clinic and fish market

Imelda Marcos
($5 billion) vs Pnoy ($400 thousand).

compare and contrast: Our Lovely ex presdident GMA: from $156 thousand in 1992 to $1.6 million last year.

But it looks like we poor Pinoys can take stealing lessons from the poor continent of Africa:

Zambian ex president, $14 million, which is petty cash for Nigerian expresident, whose wealth increased $2 billion in eight years (and he was the reform candidate).

Then there is Robert Mugabe, whose net worth is $10 million despite his country going bankrupt, ten percent of the country working in South Africa to support their families, and one third of the population being fed by NGO's

a NYTimes article on Khadaffy gives examples of how dictators can steal billions from bribes, kickbacks, and outrights stealing...and use the money to bribe overseas politicians, the media, and of course buy mercenaries to fight for you.

his net worth? 20 billion give or take a couple billion.

A lot of these dictators hide their money in the name of their spouses, kids, or under shell corporations.

oh yes, and the recession has hit some folks quite a bit.

Donald Trump net worth 2 billion, down from 4 billion.

Obama's net worth? CNN states 1.3 million but this celebrity site says he's worth 10 million.

he's a pauper, compared to Bill Clinton, the poor boy made good who's net worth is 80 million.
