Alas, the "theory of evolution" is often used to push the religion of scientism or materialism, insisting that only the concrete exists (not the spiritual)...

another problem: The way evolution is presented in many textbooks implies the only "true" way to interpret evolution is to use it to not only prove God wasn't needed for life to exist, but to insist that God doesn't exist at all.
