Another day, another storm...not typhoon, just heavy monsoon low pressure areas.
It's raining heavily outside again....we are okay, being upstream from the danger areas (unless a local irrigation dam collapses, but even then our house should be okay).
Manila faces not only rain from today's storm but the high rivers draining water from the previous storm that hit up north. The rivers and high, and the dams are spilling water to prevent overtopping that could result in a collapse of the dam, but also increase the level of water running downstream.
In Manila, low lying areas are being evacuated under alarm level one.
there have been heavy rains on and off and more is expected....but no major typhoon with wind in our area so far.

A quick update on Joy's sister: They have her on Prednisone, and the bleed behind her retina is shrinking, so they don't want to drain it. They will recheck her in a week or two and will arrange for the surgery then. The bleed is probably from an angioma...
