Aside from the floods, the big news here in the Philippines is waiting for the Bourne Identity to be released, since part of it was filmed in Manila and Palawan.
check out this old report.
They even had to shut down a few streets last January to film it.
Nordling at Ain't it cool news has a report, and sort of like it (but then they like anything with action and gore, as in Bloody, not as in Al).But apparently there is no decent story, and another review complains there is not enough "action" for a good film.
The site also reports that Russell Crowe will be playing Noah in a future film, and that the remake of Red Dawn is being released in the near future, starring Peta and Thor...
Heh...Red Dawn.
The original film is here.

of course, it is fantasy, because as one "education" session when I was in the National Guard pointed out, that the then USSR knew it would be crazy to invade the US because everyone in rural America would just disappear taking their guns with us, and that it would be ditto for the US to invade Russia (as Napolean and Hitler found out).
In the most modern remake, it's some oriental nation invading (Putin's Russia is not up to it). That should make China send the US a few protests.
But of course, the idea that China will invade either VietNam or the Philippines is not in the realms of fantasy, but of course rooting for rebels in black pajamas, or Pinoys with guns hiding out in the local mountain (as my husband's older brother did when the Japanese invaded) just wouldn't be the same.
Hmmm...wonder what is Tagalog for "WOLVERINES!"
