However, the British press is still cheering for an Obama Landslide,

one blogger at the Telegraph even predicts the Republicans will start a shooting war when they lose.

The pinko, Marxist, Obama-loving side of me can’t wait for the fireworks to begin. But there’s another part of me that’s quite disheartened at the thought of the last few moderate elements of a once great political party vanishing beneath a tidal wave of post-election Tea Party hysteria. The majesty of Lincoln, boundless optimism of Reagan, dignity of McCain – swept from the pages of history by a bunch of moon-colonising, carnivorous chicken-touting, hurricane-summoning fruit loops.

Presumably he means the carnivorous chicken eating Americans who trounced the Brits in 1776 and in 1815 New Orleans and saved their butts in two world wars.

actually, what the European press is saying is tame next to their hysteria when Reagan was running back in 1980, and they insisted he would start World War III...

I am not sure why Obama is so stupid in getting the real story out. politics? Coverup of major security problems?
