Remembering Mother Teresa

DavidWarren has an essay about covering her funeral as a reporter.

the press is celebrating the anniversary of the death of Princess Diana, but Mother Teresa's death anniversary has been pretty well ignored.

Internet archive has books and stuff for more information.

the best film about her life is The Letters, which alas the copy right cops have removed from Youtube, but this shortened version with Chinese subtitles is there.

Why this one? Because it shows her with her students, many of whom volunteered to help her and joined her in her work.

and because it shows that she wasn't a wide eyed fanatic filled with warm fuzzy spirituality high, but a normal person who suffered from spiritual darkness much of her life... but carried on nevertheless.
