Koigate? Where is news of Saudi and Xi?

While the MSM and internet trolls are upset about koigate, a lot of stuff is going on.

Saudi is purging their radicals, and is part of the moderates in the Middle East trying to take over.

And the leader of Turkey is making noises that he wants to be the next Caliphate leader (as in Ottoman Empire).

No telling what is going on in Iran, who also wants to take over the Caliphate from the Arabs. That missile from Yemen that tried to hit the Saudi capital is being seen as an act of war since it was an Iranian missile.

(and they also have sent lots of these missiles into the hands of the radicals in Gaza and Lebanon and Syria to hit Israel).

If there is a war here, it could be messy. The US is probably independent, since most of it's oil comes from the US or Mexico or Canada. But Europe and China could hurt.

Hence China is trying to take over the oil in the west Philippine sea, Taiwan, and  their newspapers discuss they eventually plan to take back Luzon...

Xi is becoming the "new emperor", partly to try to rid that country of corruption, but also because China has a 2000 year history of emperors. This gives them stability, but also leads to lots of civil wars and slows down development: the bureaucrats rule, and businessmen are discouraged, so much of China's much touted "inventions" were utilized by the west or the Arabs.

Speaking of civil wars: A lot of the anti western elites blame religion for wars, and/or say China was always more peaceful, and all I can do is roll my eyes... they obviously don't know Chinese history. Not to mention the peasants are kept in line, unlike the USA...

but the anti western conspiracy types tend to ignore everything but the Marxist talking points.

They should pay attention and read history: Persian empire, Ottoman empire, Russian expansion into Siberia (that China wants to own), Korea's links with China and dislike of Japan, etc.

update: StrategyPage on rearranging the chess pieces for the next war.
