Happy Year of the (Peppa) Pig
and yes, that is Peppa Pig, the British Cartoon character.
Cultural appropriation doesn't count here in Asia.
SCMP explains: when the cartoon was shown on TV, it became very popular, but the censors clamped down when the slackers took her as a mascot.
But now she is rehabilitated, and she is the unofficial mascot of the Year of the Pig.

the bad news? The SCMP notes that the Chinese in majority Islamic nation Malaysia are sort of keeping quiet about this year's animal, and some malls are using the Japanese character Doraemon for decorations instead.
Yes, this is celebrated here in the Philippines, although not so much in our rural area as in Manila, where most of the Chinoy families live.
