Main problem was rain rain rain.
Now we are expecting a typhoon to hit Sunday night.
The big worry is quarantine for people evacuating to shelters. Sigh. But the next typhoon looks like it might get stronger before it hits us.
We are only in partial lockdown...everything is open with masks and distancing, and no elders allowed in church or the mall. Restaurants are takeout, and although quite a few are closed, a new Korean restaurant is opening up the street. The problem? Only a few Koreans live here. The strrets are full of traffic, and the mail is being delivered again...I just got a check sent Aug 24, so its pretty slow.
Nov 1 is All Saints day, when folk visit their loved ones graves, clean up the area, light candles and place flowers then sit around and picnic. Alas, with the virus that is forbidden...Joy and the maid cleaned up Lolos grave and put flowers there, but I stayed home...only 2 allowed at a time.
Haloween is not a big thing here, altho the malls in Manila celebrate it. And we are already preparing for Christmas...the mayor has started putting up the lights.
