 If Lee had won the Battle of Gettysburg, he would be able to surround Washington D.C. and probably would have won the war.

...yes. the actor doing an exellent job portraying Lee is a Mexican American.

This uses images from Ted Turner's film Gettysburg to illustrate the lecture. Based on Michael Shaara's book the Killer Angels, it used Civil War reenacters to play the soldiers: These groups reenact the fight of their ancestors as a way to remember their heritage.

I visited the battlefield several times with my sons, and it's impressive.
